We are seeking to build our leadership team of Founders. Essentially, you’ll be joining the company still in its founding / start-up stage. If you're driven, humble, and have a passion for serving others, we want you on our team. Depending on your specific skillset or desired areas of growth, there are a few options of roles seen below (yes, you can apply for more than one). If you don't see a role that fits your skillset, and you can bring a certain skillset to our team that we're missing, you can apply indicating "open application" and let us know what you can bring to the team!

PROGRAM DIRECTOR

  • Own planning and delivery of the development program (onboarding, classes, etc.)

  • Make improvements to the Development Program – analyze offerings and determine how to improve

  • Recruit, interview and communicate with new young adults

  • Schedule, communicate with all current young adults in the program

  • Recruit and communicate with guest speakers and volunteers

  • “Boots on the ground” when it comes to local tasks, activities or obstacles that arise, i.e. dropping off food, etc.

  • Meet/work with young adults on all things career management – build resumes, interview prep, industry/company search and build career paths

  • Research industries, companies and other programs for young adults based on interests and location

  • Host and own minimum Career Development Days (aim 2 per year or every 6 months)

EVENTS CHAIR
  • Own and organize 2 large fundraiser events – every 6 months (if applicable, teamed up with Fundraising Chair)

  • Own event planning for quarterly program training (2 weeks)

  • Book reservations (daily activities), determine/book program catering, etc.

  • Schedule & plan mentor/mentee monthly events

  • Coordinate schedules with mentors, research creative team building activities and seek potential non-profit discounts

  • Coordinate recruitment events for youth at homeless shelter or foster care partners

FUNDRAISING CHAIR
  • Create and launch quarterly fundraising campaign (for each class) – opportunity to get creative and introduce a new idea to our team

  • Determine and find fundraising speaking opportunities (i.e. with local companies, etc.)

  • Own the donor list and make recommendations on communication and engagement based on different donor personas

  • Create customized communication to donors (based on different donor personas)

  • Research other potential donation avenues, i.e. writing grants, scholarships, etc.

  • Support Events Chair in 2 large fundraising events – every 6 months

MENTORSHIP CHAIR
  • Own / deliver the mentorship training class for each cohort

  • Minimum bi-weekly touchpoints with each of the mentors – can be email or phone

  • Be the spokesperson / main touchpoint for the mentors and determine mitigation tactics for any scenarios that arise with each of their youth

  • Coach mentors on best practices, provide lessons learned and solutions to any problems

  • Have been / are a mentor for Pour Over Love or a like non-profit for minimum of 6 months

  • Determine fun / engaging mentorship activities for monthly Mentor & Mentee hangouts

PARTNER RELATIONS CHAIR
  • Research, contact and meet with potential partners, i.e. employment partners, housing/shelter, counseling, universities/schools/clubs, local non-profits, or any other areas that support our youth

  • Manage current partnerships – monthly communication to share progress, seek feedback (create surveys to see what we can improve on)

  • Craft email communication to partners, emails, etc.
